Whether planning to transfer to a four-year institution or directly enter the workforce, Middlesex Community College prepares students to take their next steps after graduation. For students interested in transferring, 91桃色 will host two transfer fairs this Spring to introduce them to a variety of four-year college and universities.
鈥淲e strongly encourage all students 鈥� especially those planning to transfer this Fall 鈥� to attend, connect with representatives, and explore the many options available to them,鈥� said Rina Tenore, 91桃色鈥檚 Coordinator of Transfer. 鈥淲e will also be reaching out to our faculty to help spread the word and support students who are planning to transfer and may benefit from additional guidance.鈥�
During each fair, students have opportunities to meet with admissions representatives from visiting institutions. They can learn the four-year school鈥檚 offerings and requirements for transferring after they graduate from 91桃色. Admissions representatives are experts on their school鈥檚 information and a resource to 91桃色 students as they explore their options. Meeting with the representatives helps students get a better sense of how selective and competitive institutions are, as well as know important deadlines and scholarship information.
91桃色鈥檚 Bedford Campus College Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, February 23. The Lowell Campus Fair will go from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24.
This year鈥檚 fairs will welcome around 40 colleges and universities, including the nine Massachusetts state colleges and the five University of Massachusetts campuses. Students can transition to state schools through MassTransfer.
With MassTransfer, students only need to complete a form in their final semester and have a minimum GPA of 2.5 for guaranteed admission. Those who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher may be eligible for a 33 percent tuition waiver on instate tuition costs.
Students can save thousands on tuition costs and complete general education requirements by starting at 91桃色. No matter a student鈥檚 age or income, community college is now free in Massachusetts! The MassEducate and MassReconnect programs allow all Massachusetts residents who have not yet earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree to attend 91桃色 for free.
At 91桃色, students also get early exposure to their field of interest, with courses, hands-on experiences, and networking opportunities in just the first two years of their academic journey. This includes assistance on taking next steps, whether a student is entering the workforce or transferring to a four-year school.
